Before entering private practice, I served as Vice President, Legal Affairs of Cascades, a Québec-based multinational in the pulp and paper industry. I oversaw acquisitions and divestitures within their Specialty Products division for 15 years and within their Tissue Paper Group for 5 years. During this period, I was involved in all key business decisions and led complex negotiations involving significant strategic considerations.
Throughout my career, I also acquired a recognized expertise in environmental and forestry law through the teaching of university classes, through my publications and through corporate advisory mandates. Those fields require precise and in-depth understanding of the regulatory risks capable of affecting the value and viability of a business.
